Electrical safety checks
Inspection and testing can cover earthing and bonding, circuit continuity, insulation resistance, polarity and the operation of protective devices, including RCDs where fitted. The checks required depend on the installation and agreed scope.
Understanding your PIR
A Periodic Inspection Report records the condition of an existing installation at the time of inspection, within the agreed scope and access limitations. It identifies observations and recommendations; it is not the same as a completion certificate for new work.
